Spouses Letter

Hello TSAPI Spouses and Children,

My name is Liz Lux, and I will be planning and prepping this year’s Spouse program since James’ wife Kim is super busy with Brook’s musical theater career. But don’t you worry we have a fantastic week prepared for you in Beaumont!!

Monday is our Craft day after opening ceremonies. We will be making some wonderful treasures to take home. Make sure you stop by and visit the vendors before opening ceremony and lunch. These vendors are some of the amazing people who make our Spouse’s Day possible.

Tuesday is our Spouse’s Day Out! This is a great day to see some of the sights of Beaumont, eat some delicious food, and enjoy some shopping.  We will board a bus at 9:30 am that morning and travel to the Spindletop Gladyce City Boomtown Museum at Lamar University and tour the town, then for a special treat they are going to blow the Lamar Geyser. After that fun, we are headed to a beautiful lunch at Amelia Farm to Market and then a short trip to the Lumberton Antique Mall! We should be back to the hotel around 3pm. Plenty of time to get rested and ready for our Banquet and Officer Instillation that evening.

Wednesday is Game Day! In the morning, we will play BINGO and win a few prizes to take home. In the afternoon, we will play 2 games as a group. We ask that each person participating bring 2 wrapped gifts valued at $10 each. If you would like to bring more to donate that is wonderful but not necessary. We ask that children under 14 bring gifts for other children, if your child is 14 or older they can play with the adults if they wish.

Thursday is your FREE Day- feel free to sleep in, visit the pool or if you want, I will be taking my children and going to visit the McFaddin-Ward House for a tour of this amazing historic home. The tour starts at 11am is $5 per person, sorry no children under 8 years old are allowed. Just let me know if you want to tag along!

We look forward to seeing you in June!!

If you have any questions please contact me.

Thanks,

Liz Lux
